Having just moved house, this month has mostly been about unpacking various treasures, rather than writing about them. You can now read about Clara's Carpet Chair and also about more of my Northumbrian ancestry, with the story of the Eadington family. This line is my possible route to a direct ancestor that was born, or at least baptised, outside England. Not yet 'inked in' but a distinct possibility of some potential kilt-wearing.

I have also made more stories and treasures available as pages, rather than just pdfs, to help those accessing this site on a phone. It is going to be a long job to convert them all but I'll get there.

My nearest and dearest, who I was kind of hoping might actually read this site, pointed out that it was difficult to access the pdfs on a phone. I have taken the plunge and converted this to a paid site, so I can now include more content. I have started making the pdfs also available as pages, accessed by clicking on the titles. Hopefully, this will mean that phone users will be more inclined to read what is there. Some of the documents with larger numbers of pictures will take me longer to convert and a few may just be too large but I will do my best to gradually convert the pdfs to pages.

All the treasures are currently packed up ready for me to move house, so I have concentrated on memories this time. You can now read about my memories of how we kept clean and healthy and also about what I remember of Croydon, the 'big town' of my childhood and teenaged years.

This month, I have added my memories of the home I lived in for three years in the 1980s and part of the story of my Northumbrian Ancestry. This covers what I know about the Hogg and Pearson families. You will have to wait for the Eadingtons, who are also ancestors of my great grandfather, John Hogg, who was born in Morpeth. This is a large proportion of my ancestry, so is quite long; settle down by the fire with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine!
